Every Saturday from 9:00am to 10:00am from 5/3/2025 to 10/25/2025; starts and ends at Herron Park in downtown Aspen; FREE.

The city of Aspen recreation department is excited to announce the return of the Aspen parkrun series, starting May 3. Parkrun is a free, weekly 5k event where participants are welcome to walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. This year, the community run series will feature a new course that starts and ends at Herron Park in downtown Aspen and follows an out-and-back route on the Rio Grande Trail.  

Registration: First-time participants must register at parkrun.us/aspen to receive their unique barcode. 

After the race, Swedish Hill bakery from the Aspen Art Museum will provide free drip coffee and a 10% discount on pastries for all park runners. Dogs are welcome on the course but must remain leashed.
