Johnny McGuire’s lovers rejoice! Owner opens Townline Trucks in Carbondale
The closure of Johnny McGuire’s deli in 2015 left a gaping hole in Aspen’s affordable (and delicious) food scene after 25 years in business. Following several years working food trucks at major music and arts festivals and taking inspiration from Boulder’s food truck park and beer garden, Rayback Collective, Terrance McGuire came back home with a vision to fill that void for the Valley, only this time in Carbondale.
Townline Trucks, whose namesake comes from the ‘town line’ running through the middle of the property, serves up a huge variety of food from the rotating food truck lineup (including the famed Johnny McGuire’s) alongside beer and cocktails out of the overhauled single family home structure, as well as games & live music to instill a ‘sense of place’ for patrons, all with an affordable price tag. Townline Trucks also offers the only late-night food option in Carbondale, with at least one food truck remaining open until 11pm.
Come hungry, leave with a new friend, and try something different on your next visit (and every visit after that if you please).
